Porthgain Rowing Club

| Established in 2004
and based at Porthgain Harbour, north Pembrokeshire, Porthgain Rowing Club
is currently the only club in Wales that rows a Cornish Pilot Gig. We
row for pleasure(!) and also compete both here in Wales (against the Celtic Longboats) and in
Cornwall (in the Cornish Pilot Gig Association races). Our best
results to date are second place in the 2005 and 2006 Ramsey Island
Races and second in the 2006 Caldey Island Race. A
second gig was launched in March and a third is planned for 2007. We are always looking for new members, whether new to rowing or experienced, male or female, young, or not so young... For more information call 01437 720026 or email porthgain@cpga.co.uk. Alternatively, just turn up at Porthgain on one of the training nights: Mondays and Wednesdays around 6pm throughout the summer. |

If you're not rowing you may like a meal and a drink instead. Visit our neighbours in The Shed or The Sloop Inn.
